Conventions Used in This Guide

This guide uses a number of conventions for typography, special symbols, and key combinations. These are listed in the table below.

Bold Indicates text you need to type.
Italic Indicates definitions of terms. Also indicates anything you replace with your own information, such as filename.
“” Cross-references that refer to chapter or section headings.
Initial Capitals Indicates menu names, menu items, keyboard keys, button names, and dialog boxes. For example, File menu.
Shift+Insert Means press two keys in combination.
Indicates a procedure with only one step. Also used to indicate each item in a list.
